Scanogen is looking for a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our R&D team. We are a rapidly growing start-up company developing a medical diagnostic system that will dramatically improve the diagnosis of some important diseases. We need highly driven and inventive individuals.
• Collaborate with internal and external development engineers in the design of a custom instrument.
• Coordinate with engineers to assist in experiment setup, data logging, consumable production, and small machine fabrication for lab experiments.
• Use of small machinery, small lathe, small milling machine and various power tools.
• Soldering surface mount and through hole boards.
• Cable crimping and cable fabrication, heat shrink cables and install and route cables in the instrument.
• Minimum of a AS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, may be substituted with experience.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a new product development environment.
• Demonstrated ability to support the development of innovative product designs.
• Thorough understanding of conceptual design, design refinement, rapid prototyping methods and design changes.
• Precision and attention to details for accurately following schematics and procedures.
• Efficient working practices and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• 3D printing.
• Sheet Metal.
• Use of Voltage/Current meters and Oscilloscopes.
